Innovative Electronics Projects for Emerging Technologists
PROJ-2002
The Electrical Engineering Technology program equips learners with the skills needed to excel as engineering technologists in the dynamic electronics industry. Participants gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and troubleshooting electronic systems, with a focus on digital and analog circuits, amplifiers, and wireless communications. This experience allows learners to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world projects, enhancing their technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities in areas such as microprocessor programming, industrial electronics, and programmable logic systems. Course Description: Over the course of a 16-week term, students will engage in one or more industry projects either on an individual basis or within a group of students enrolled in the course. In this course, students will collaborate with industry partners to develop real-world workplace skills while tackling a relevant industry challenge. Students will research and analyze a problem or requirement, explore potential solutions, and apply key concepts learned in their studies. Along the way, students will navigate industry considerations such as product safety, reliability, customer needs, and cost-effectiveness. Through this experience, students will gain industry-specific skills and refine their ability to communicate professionally. By the end of the course, they will produce a technical report that showcases your problem-solving process and presents a well-supported case for your proposed solution.
