The process of analyzing and designing a new network or designing a network upgrade is a formal process. There are distinct phases involved in the design process of a network, of which any or all can be applied to any network. Students working on this project will concentrate on the first four phases of the network design process; Requirements Gathering, Traffic Analysis, Logical Design, and Physical Design. Installation and Maintenance, will not be a focus of the course.Company partners will benefit from having a student group conduct a detailed analysis of their existing network infrastructure, as well as an analysis of the present and future needs of the user population. Any areas where the user needs are not presently met, will have practical solutions designed to address these areas of concern. Practical exercises will be used wherever possible to reinforce student learning and help directly involve the company partner to better ensure appropriate solutions are developed..

Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.All students will be required to complete a work practicum unit as a part of this program. While on work placement the student will gain related practical experience in the Tourism and Travel field, refine their customer service skills, and have an opportunity to demonstrate their professional commitment to a potential employer. Each student will be required to complete a detailed report, and include an employer evaluation in that reportStudent placements will only occur virtually.

The course provides an opportunity for businesses and learners to collaborate to identify and translate a real business problem into a data analytics problem. The project can be an end-to-end application, including data collection & preparation, analysis, visualization, evaluation against success criteria and possible methods for deployment. Project results/ recommendations will be communicated in a final report.You should submit a high-level proposal/business problem statement including a clear connection to data analysis, relevant data sets and definitions, a list of acceptable tools (if applicable), and expected deliverables. Business datasets could be provided based on a non-disclosure agreement or in an anonymized/synthetic data format that is relevant to your organization and business problem. The course instructor will review the documents to confirm the scope and timing of the proposed problem and its alignment with the course requirements.

Students are available for 4 weeks of placement from March 28th to April 22nd during normal working hours.Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will predominately occur virtually but can be on-site with approval (if local).

Students will utilize their knowledge in public relations, journalism, writing, advertising, or media production to tackle an issue of your company's choosing. Students are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support “convergence” news reporting allowing them to write and file stories for all media platforms - television, radio, print, and online.Students are available for up to 56 hours starting early September 20, 2021 - December 17, 2021.For credit internships - paid or unpaid opportunities.
